LARISSA – SOFIA

We will meet and depart at 8:00 a.m. for the Promachonas border crossing. Our first stop for coffee and a break will be in Korinos. Continuing along the Thessaloniki ring road, we’ll pass the co-capital to reach the Promachonas border station. After the standard customs check, there will be free time at the Duty Free shops for shopping. Next, passing through Sandanski and Blagoevgrad and making a stop for coffee or a meal, we continue our journey to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Upon arriving in the city, we’ll begin our city tour by bus to explore the city. During our scenic tour, we’ll see, among other sights, the Eagles’ Bridge, Roman monuments, the War Memorial, the University, and Hagia Sophia. Finally, we’ll head to our hotel. Check-in and free time to enjoy your evening. Overnight stay.

SOFIA - PLOVDIV

After breakfast, we depart for beautiful Philippopolis. Built on both banks of the Evros River, atop seven low hills, Philippopolis is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Roman theaters and markets, magnificent 18th-century mansions, and imposing churches impress visitors. Here we will have the opportunity to visit the old town, the Kuyumtzoğlu Folklore Museum, Lamartine’s House, Liberators’ Hill, the Clock Tower, the Imaret Mosque, the Pantheon, the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, and the Roman Theater. After the city tour, you’ll have free time to eat (on your own), stroll along the pedestrian street, and do some shopping. Return to Sofia. Overnight stay.

SOFIA – SANDANSKI – LARISA

After breakfast and collecting our luggage, we will head for a guided tour of the historic center of Sofia, where we will begin our beautiful and informative walk at the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky. It is one of the largest churches in the world, as well as one of Sofia’s symbols and main attractions. Next, on our walking tour, we will see the Russian Church, the Natural History Museum, the National Art Gallery, the National Archaeological Museum, the National Assembly, and finally we will end up at the Church of St. Kyriaki. This is followed by free time for a final stroll through beautiful Sofia, after which we depart for the lovely spa town of Sandanski. It is one of the best spa towns in Bulgaria, with abundant thermal springs. Free time for lunch and to wander through the city’s market to shop at the open-air bazaar on the pedestrian street. Finally, we depart for the Promachonas border. After completing the necessary formalities, we continue our journey to Larissa. With the necessary stops along the way, we arrive in our city in the evening.
