LARISSA – IGOUMENITSA – FERRY

Meet at 5:30 p.m. and depart for Igoumenitsa. Upon arrival in Igoumenitsa, security check, boarding the ship, and departure for Brindisi. Overnight on board

BRINDISI – ALBEROBELLO – SALERNO

Morning arrival in Brindisi and departure for the one-of-a-kind Alberobello, the village that looks like a scene straight out of a fairy tale and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A tour through the village’s picturesque alleys to see its snow-white houses with their characteristic pyramidal, vaulted, or conical roofs made of limestone slabs (the famous domes) adorned with tropical symbols (suns, crosses, zodiac signs, etc.). Free time, then we continue to historic Salerno. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. The evening is free to explore Salerno for the first time. Overnight stay.

POMPEII – NAPLES

Early morning departure for Pompeii, one of the most significant open-air archaeological sites in the world, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will tour the ruins of the city buried under the scorching lava and ashes of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and admire a “living” ancient city. After our visit, we will continue on to Naples. Arrival and tour of the beautiful city. Free time to stroll through the historic center, shop, visit the National Archaeological Museum with its frescoes and mosaics from Pompeii, or have lunch at a traditional trattoria. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

AMALFI – POSITANO

This morning we’ll set off by boat (weather permitting; at your own expense) for the picturesque town of Positano. Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets with their flower-filled balconies, we’ll feel the cosmopolitan vibe of the 1960s. Leaving Positano by boat once again, we’ll arrive at the “metropolis of the coast,” the picturesque Amalfi, which gave its name to the 50-kilometer stretch of coastline. In your free time, visit the Cathedral of St. Andrew and stroll along the city’s main pedestrian street. We also recommend an optional visit by HOP ON HOP OFF minibuses (at your own expense) to the village of Ravello, perched 305 meters above sea level, and see Villa Rufolo with its tower, gardens, and breathtaking views. Return to Amalfi and departure for Salerno. Overnight stay.

SORRENTO – CAPRI

Morning departure via a scenic route to the port of Sorrento, where we will board a boat (weather permitting, at your own expense) bound for one of the world’s most famous travel destinations, the elegant and sophisticated island of Capri. Upon arriving at Marina Grande, we will optionally take a cable car up to the cosmopolitan town of Capri, where we will visit the famous Gardens of Augustus and admire the imposing Faraglioni rocks—the island’s trademark. Free time for lunch and shopping. We recommend visiting Anacapri (Upper Capri), home to Villa San Michele, and taking the cable car to the summit of Monte Solaro (589 meters, the island’s highest point with spectacular views). Meet at Marina Grande, board the boat, and depart for Sorrento, which, quite rightly, inspired the classic traditional song “Torn’ a Surriento” (Return to Sorrento). Upon arrival, we will walk through the central Piazza Tasso and the narrow shopping streets of the old town to end up at the balcony of Villa Comunale with its magnificent view of the Bay of Naples and Capri. Return to Salerno. Overnight stay.

ANCIENT POSEIDONIA – BRINDISI – OVERNIGHT CRUISE

After breakfast and collecting our luggage, we depart for ancient Poseidonia, Paestum (30 km south of Salerno), where the glorious history of Magna Graecia emerges from its ruins and imposing temples. The Basilica is the oldest building of Western civilization in the region and is dedicated to Hera. Here, too, are the temples of Poseidon. There is also the option to visit the archaeological museum. Free time. We continue to Brindisi, board the ship, and spend the night at sea.

IGOUMENITSA - LARISSA

Arrival in Igoumenitsa in the morning. Board the bus and depart immediately. After the necessary stops for coffee and lunch, we arrive in our city.
