Larissa – Piraeus – Syros (M.PARASKEVI)
Departure from our office at 01.30. With stops for coffee and rest along the way, we arrive in the morning at the port of Piraeus. Check-in on the ship and departure for Syros. Arrival in the capital of the Cyclades. Disembarkation from the ship and departure for the hotel. Check-in to the rooms. In the afternoon, departure for Ermoupolis to watch the procession of the Catholic Epitaph of the Church of the Annunciation and then in the magnificent Miaouli Square, the Epitaphs of the three Orthodox Churches, Metamorfosis of the Savior, Dormition of the Virgin Mary and Agios Nikolaos, will meet. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Syros (HOLY SATURDAY)
Breakfast and departure for the lively medieval settlement of Ano Syros. We will visit the Catholic Cathedral of Agios Georgios. We will see the buildings of the Metropolis, the Catholic monasteries of the Jesuits and Capuchins, the Folklore Museum and we will walk through the narrow alleys to explore where its troubadours, such as Markos Vamvakaris, sang. We will continue to the “Vaporia” district with its neoclassical mansions and “Little Venice”, the monument to the unburied fighter, the first theater-opera of Greece “Apollon”, the first High School of Nea Hellas and the City Hall in the marble Miaouli Square. We will end up at the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary to admire the homonymous authentic icon by El Greco. Free time. Return to the hotel. Departure in the evening for Ermoupolis, where we will attend the Easter service at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Then we will celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Syros (RESCUE SUNDAY)
Breakfast. Departure to get to know the villages of the island. We will see Kini panoramically and then we will visit and worship the Holy Monastery of Agia Varvara. Passing through the villages of Galissas, Finika, Poseidonia (the much-sung DELA KRATSIA), Mega Gialos, we return to Ermoupolis for our Easter meal. Return to the hotel. Free time. Overnight.
Syros – Piraeus – Larissa (EASTER MONDAY)
Breakfast and departure for the traditional Turkish delight factory where we will purchase the traditional sweet of Syros and then we head to Ermoupolis. Free time for sightseeing, coffee. Transfer to the port and boarding the ship. Departure and arrival in Piraeus. With intermediate stops, we arrive in our city full of beautiful images from our trip.
