DAY 4 | CAIRO – ASWAN – DAM – TEMPLE OF FRIENDS – FELUQUES SAILING (NILE CRUISE) 22/04/2026

Very early morning wake-up. Packed breakfast and we depart for the airport and our flight to Aswan with Egypt Air at 05:45am (MS-082).

Today we will discover the fascinating city of Aswan. The beautiful green landscape blends harmoniously with the tranquility of the Nile River which flows through the city. We will visit the Aswan Dam, considered an engineering marvel, and the unfinished obelisk. We continue with a short motorized boat ride (feluccas) to the Temple of Philae on Agilka Island. The temple was dedicated to Isis, sister/wife of Osiris and protector of the Ptolemaic rule. We transfer to our riverboat, and settle in.

Lunch on the ship. After our meal, a short cruise on the picturesque feluccas on the Nile (approximately 20-30 minutes) where we will admire the scenery and the magic of the river.

Afterwards, those who optionally visit the Nubian village will hop on a motorboat for an unforgettable cruise to the Nubian village, against the natural flow of the river. The rest will return by felucca to the ship. During our cruise to the Nubian village, we will pass by Kitchener Island with the Botanical Gardens (a feast of tropical and subtropical plants and trees), Elephantine Island, and the Aga Khan Mausoleum, as well as the ultra-luxurious Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie wrote her masterpiece Crime on the Nile! In the Nubian village where we will visit a Nubian house and taste traditional tea, hibiscus and sometimes Nubian pie. We will have the opportunity to hold young crocodiles that the Nubians keep in their homes as pets, as well as see older ones in swimming pools. Free time in the village to browse the traditional shops before returning by boat to our ship.

Dinner and entertainment according to the ship's schedule. Overnight on board.

DAY 5 | KOMOBO – (NILE CRUISE) – ABU SIMBEL (OPTIONAL) 23/04/2026

Breakfast and we sail for Kom Ombo, where we visit the eponymous temple, the double temple of Egypt. The temple is dedicated to two gods: Sobek – the crocodile god, protector of waters and fertility, and Horus the Elder (Haroeris) – god of royal power and the sky.

The temple was built during the Hellenistic period, mainly under the Ptolemaic dynasty (approximately 180-47 BC), and stands out due to its symmetrical architecture, as it has two sanctuaries, two courtyards and two entrances.

Before returning to the boat, be sure to visit the markets along the Nile – here you can find all kinds of treasures and souvenirs.
We continue our journey and the next stop is the city of Edfu.

Lunch & dinner on the riverboat. Overnight on board.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO ABU SIMBEL 100 -120 EUROS PER PERSON DEPENDING ON PARTICIPATIONS
For those who wish, they can take a full-day excursion to Abu Simbel.
Early in the morning we depart for the city of Abu Simbel, located 290 kilometers southwest of Aswan. It is one of the most popular archaeological sites in Egypt and consists of two magnificent temples (the Small and the Great Temple) built by Ramses II to honor his wife Nefertari. At the entrance to the temple, four statues have been built, each 20 meters high, all of which represent Ramses II seated with the royal diadems and the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, the famous nemes. The entire facade, where the statues are carved, is 30 meters high and 35 meters wide, while inside the temple reaches a depth of 60 meters. It has been built in such a way that the sun's rays enter the sanctuaries of the temple and illuminate the faces of the statues only two days a year. The first is October 22nd and the second is February 22nd. We will also observe this unique phenomenon today.
Our experienced tour guide will explain the entire history and the representations carved on the facade.

DAY 6 | EDFU – ESNA – LUXOR – (NILE CRUISE) 24/04/2026

This morning we will visit the city of Edfu to admire the best preserved temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus, with its ancient hieroglyphs and authentic ceilings, where the Greeks identified him with Apollo. It is remarkable, observing them, to think that someone painted them by hand thousands of years ago and we can still see them today! The temple is dedicated to the god Horus, the falcon god, protector of the Pharaoh. The temple impresses with its majestic 36-meter-high pillar and the relief representations of the battle of Horus with Seth. It has a sanctuary, courtyards and wall paintings that reveal a lot of information about the religion and rituals of ancient Egypt.

The ancient Greeks called the city of Edfu Apollonopolis the Great. Lunch.

Upon arrival in Luxor, visit the Luxor Temple. The Luxor Temple is unique, as it was not built in honor of a god, but to celebrate the renewal of royal power. The coronations of the pharaohs were held there for over a millennium. Here we will also see the relief depicting Alexander the Great as Pharaoh of Egypt.
The evening concludes with a Galabia Party – an Egyptian costume party with traditional costumes, depending on the ship's schedule.

Overnight stay on board.

DAY 7 | LUXOR 25/04/2026

Very early in the morning optional hot air balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings approximately 1 hour. Breakfast and immediately after we start the visit to the west bank of Luxor (the side of the dead). We will visit the famous Valley of the Kings which is the necropolis of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, where over 60 tombs are located. The most famous tomb is that of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, discovered intact in 1922 by Howard Carter. The tombs are decorated with colorful frescoes depicting the afterlife.

We will then visit the remarkable Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which is considered an architectural marvel. It was built on three levels, with impressive colonnades that harmonize with the natural landscape.

We will also see the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic 18-meter-high statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III that guarded the gates of the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes.

Transfer and check-in at our hotel in Luxor. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
